I am Wilhelmien van Nieuwenhuizen and I am a Pastor, Teacher, Counselor and Encourager. I have walked a path in search of my true Purpose, Call and Destiny in life and ventured through various career fields of Engineering, Human Resource Development and Corporate Management before finding and entering my true Purpose, following my Calling and living out my Destiny. Today I am excited to get up in the morning and know I have another opportunity to live out my passion, enjoy what I am doing and be fulfilled!

It was not all plain sailing, let me share some of it with you. (Trust me, it is really important background for what I am going to share with you next!)

At the beginning of my career I learned quickly that those rising to the top have a plan. I decided to prove myself and learned all I could about climbing the corporate ladder. I invested time and money in personal development and tried out all the flavors of the day in Leadership and Corporate Development. Although I progressed through the managerial ranks, I was always looking for that position that would truly fulfill me. I soon realized that there is always someone else that is ahead of you or better than you and that chasing after position, income level and benefits was like trying to catch the wind and hold it in your hands.

Though seemingly successful up the corporate ladder, I was still searching for true fulfillment and a meaningful life. There must be something more to my life than this.

As I was searching, I found myself surrounded by people that were also searching and longing to do that which they are truly passionate about. I would try to give advice and help where I could to guide them to the place where they should be. What I desired for myself, I desired for them. Only you cannot give something you do not have.

Then three major turning points occurred in my life, though separated by several years, I came into my Purpose, Call and Destiny.

• First Event: I turned back to the Lord as my Source and Creator. Wisdom starts by knowing Him who created me. I surrendered my life fully to Jesus and received my calling. I discovered that I knew it deep inside of me all the time but suppressed it due to a lack of knowledge about His Purpose, Call and Destiny for me.
• Second Event: I sat in an evening Service listening to the Pastor sharing his experiences with people who have been waiting on the promises of God and their true callings to come. Then he said, “how many years have you been waiting for your calling? What have you done since the day you knew you were called to do something else?” It was as if he was speaking only to me!
• Third Event: After studying Theology and being ordained into Ministry I knew I was where I was supposed to be but something was still missing: my life’s message. I am blessed with many talents and various abilities but I didn’t know which direction I should pursue? I did a course on accelerating into your life’s purpose and then God revealed to me the golden thread that was weaved throughout my life and I discovered my life message.
